The church was opened in the 1860's and belonged to Manchester 1st Primitive Methodist Circuit, later known as Manchester (New Islington) Methodist Circuit. Bradford Road joined Manchester (Higher Ardwick) Circuit in 1947, but then transferred to the Manchester and Salford Methodist Mission in around 1952. The final service was held at Bradford Road in March 1963.
