On marriage of John Philips, R.N. to Ann, daughter of Gilbert Henderson of Liverpool, merch., whereby John and Francis Philips are bound in surety of £4,000 to pay William Fawcett and Peter Crompton £2,000 during the lifetime of John Philips, (grandfather) or within 6 months after his decease (died 2 Feb. 1824).
