This lesson is focused on the theme of incarceration in two texts, ‘One Love’ by Nas, and ‘Up North Trip’ by Mobb Deep. The lesson is designed to have students critically analyse literary techniques and concepts from each text, and then go on to identify, analyse and ultimately compare and contrast the key themes and ideas present.
