Oral History Interviews
Total copies: 1
Series consists of 8 oral history interviews with members of the Salford community and are a record of life in their home countries as well as their experiences of migration and settlement in Manchester. Disucssions revolved around topics of childood, family, and diffrences between home countries and the UK.
In order to safeguard interviewees and interviewers and ensure social distancing due to Covid-19, interviews with Person B and Mbumba Tshianda were conducted over the phone - as a result the audio may be slighly distorted.
The interviews were conducted by volunteers from the Salford Community Education Support Centre. Indexes and summaries were created by the project prior to donation. These have been edited by the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust after donation. The original indexes and summaries created by the project are available as part of this archive. The indexes and summaries created by the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust form the bound volume and can be found at the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre Library.
