Born in Carriacou, one of the Grenadine Islands, in 1944. Came to the UK in 1962. Her first job was as a cloak attendant in the nurse’s cloak room at Hammersmith Hospital. Undertook her nurse training in Huddersfield in 1962. Princess was both a state registered and senior enrolled nurse. She worked with the NHS throughout her career.
