Born in Armenia. Spent time in St Petersburg while father did PhD then Zambia where his father taught. Returned to Armenia and obtained education including PhD equivalent in mathematics. Undertook teaching as a school teacher in a village on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan as an alternative to military service before being offered PhD opportunity in UK. Married an Armenian woman and she came to the UK. Lived in Sheffield, Wales, Liverpool before settling in Greater Manchester. Works as a lecturer in Physics.
