Custodial history:
St. Saviour's chapelry in the parish of Prestwich, was built by Nathan Wallworth in 1625 for the residents of Outwood, and consecrated on 11 December 1634. It was rebuilt in 1826 and again in 1851. The latter building was consecrated on 10 June 1854 A District was assigned from the parishes of St. Mary, Prestwich, Farnworth cum Kearsley and All Saints, Stand, by Order in Council, 20 October 1898 (London Gazette 25 October 1898).
