Harry M Fairhurst of Fairhursts of Manchester, architects, was a representative of the Royal Institute of British Architects on the Panel which was reconstituted in March 1970 on the recommendation of Manchester City Council Town Planning Buildings Committee 'to undertake the periodic review of the buildings of historic of architectural interest in the City...and to advise the Council on any matters involving their use, alteration or demolition..'.
