St. Clement's, Greenheys, consecrated 15 June 1881 was one of three churches built from the St. Clement's Church Fund, which arose from the sale of St. Clement's, Lever St., Manchester. It was assigned a District by Order in Council, 3 May 1882 (london Gazette, 9 May 1882), from Christ Church, Moss Side, St. Margaret's, Whalley Range, St. Mary's, Hulme, and St. Paul's, Hulme. The church was demolished in December 1971 and the parish united with St. James, Moss Side, by Order in Council, 19 January 1973 (london Gazette, 23 January 1973)
