Custodial history:
The Deanery, created in 1871, consisted of the parishes in Chorlton upon Medlock, Chorlton cum Hardy, Greenheys, Hulme, Moss Side, Old Trafford, Stretford, Whalley Range, Flixton and Urmston. In May 1933 the parishes in Chorlton cum Hardy, Old Trafford, Stretford, Urmston and Flixton were taken out of the Hulme Deanery and along with Davyhulme formed the new Stretford Deanery whose later minutes are also deposited here (GB127.L64)

Pre 1933 records were deposited in the Library in March 1937 by Rev W A Parker Mason, and the later ones in January 1989 by Canon R Seaman, both Chapter Clerks.
