Lawrence Kostoris and Sons operated in Manchester as textile exporters from 1886-c.1979.They were mainly concerned with the South African export market. They were based at 52 Portland Street, but following bomb damage in c.1940 they moved to 19 George Street.
In 1950s Hey Presto was formed out of Lawrence Kostoris and Sons. From 1972 to 1981 It was based at Hamilton Road, Longsight, and mainly dealt with the British market. It went into voluntary liquidation in 1981. The depositor, Mr. Albert Williams, worked for Hey Presto.
