The North Manchester General Hospital was formed in 1972 with the merger of Crumpsall Infirmary, Delaunays Hospital, and Springfield Hospital. In the early 1990s the Manchester Northern Hospital, Ancoats Hospital and Victoria Memorial Jewish Hospital merged in as well.
