Notebook of John Howarth

1855
Archives
John (Brown) Howarth (b.1819-?) married Mary Fildes (b.1819-?) the youngest daughter and 12th child of Joseph Fildes (1769-1843) of the Church Inn Newton Heath.
The notebook Includes:
An account of the estate of the late William Fildes Church Inn Jan 22 1855 (6 pages)
[William (1799-1853) 2nd son of Joseph above, died unmarried.]
A calendar of Fildes and Whitehead deaths and those of some other Newton Heath notables 1828-1842 (1 page). John Howarth must have copied this from a list found among William's papers as the notebook is dated 1855 and he himself would only have been 9 years old in 1828. On the next page, a separate list of events and expenses 1829-30 leading up to the death and funeral of Sarah Fildes (1805-1829), wife of James (1804-1832) 4th son of Joseph. (1 page) [James and Sarah are my Gx3 grandparents].
Notes on end flyleaf relating to valuation of William Fildes estate. (1 page).
Also donated were:
Notes on the Petition from the inhabitants of Manchester in support of the Foreign Slave Trade Abolition Bill, 1806 (2009)
Notes on John Howarth's note book and the Fildes family by John Heywood (2009)
Emails from John Heywood to Penny Bonetti regarding the notebook (2008)
