Four scrapbooks containing photographs, maps, plans and Mr Corbridge's commentary in typescript and longhand on all aspects of the history and workings of the canals. Each volume contains loose inserts of photographs, letters and cuttings.
1. The Mersey & Irwell Navigation - a complete history in facts, figures and photographs, 1 volume.
2. The Mersey & Irwell Navigation - this is the full story of trade on the rivers between Liverpool & Manchester, 1712-1887 with earlier history and later developments up to the present times, 1 volume.
3. The Ashton Canal, 1 volume.
4. Forgotten Waterways of Northern England: the Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal; Mathew Fletcher's Canal; the St Helen's Canal; the Rochdale Canal; the Uttoxeter Canal; the Hollinwood and Fairbottom Branch Canals; the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, 1 volume.
