Custodial history:
The second Wesleyan mission in Altrincham began in a rented room in Hamon Road in 1883. It grew in response to the emergence of a new community in a new housing area in hale Moss. The success of the mission led to the building of permanent premises in Borough Road, opened in 1884 and extended in 1910. It belonged to Altrincham Wesleyan Circuit, re-named Altrincham Methodist Circuit in 1932.
The mission was rebuilt in 1933 and ceased to be a mission of the Altrincham Society in Bank Street (C18/2). The church was closed in 1966 when the Society combined with Altrincham ex-Wesleyan and other Methodist churches in the Altrincham area to form Altrincham Methodist Church.
