The first chapel, opened in the early 1830's, was a lean-to at the end of some cottages. A new chapel built in 1875 and a schoolroom followed some years later. The church was transferred from Lymm and Altrincham Primitive Methodist Circuit to the Altrincham Methodist Circuit in 1932 and was closed in 1978.
