The church was opened in around 1895 and belonged to Manchester 7th Primitive Methodist (Newton Heath) Circuit until 1956 when it joined Manchester (Harpurhey) Methodist Circuit. It closed in 1962 and its society joined other Moston societies at Streetfold ex-UMFC to form Moston Methodist, Moston Lane.
