This is possibly a successor to Bostock Hall Residential facility, [M66/138]. It appears that the facility was a residential care home for children who had trouble living at home and was run by Manchester Education Department. The children would become a resident at the hostel and if given permission were allowed to return home at certain times, ie 1 weekend in 3, or for special occasions. The parents were informed of any problems with the children and took part in their upbringing as much as they could. The children attended different schools in the Manchester area.
