Newspaper cuttings

Books containing newspaper cuttings relating to Refuge activities and important events. The Newspaper Cuttings Books help to chronicle the development of the Refuge and how its works were promoted in the surrounding area. Newspapers included in the collection comprise mainly of the Manchester Guardian, the News Chronicle, City News and the Stockport Express. Articles relating to the Boys' Summer Camp were also published in the Southport Guardian and Southport Visitor papers. A Manchester Guardian Newspaper and a Manchester Courier Newspaper for the date 7 Jul 1883 are also included in this series.
