Kershaw House Committee

Kershaw House was a hostel put at the disposal of the Committee by Mr A. Kershaw and equipped by the Kershaw House Committee. The hostel temporarily housed trainees brought to Manchester by the Trainee Department until they are found positions and suitable lodgings. It also temporarily housed domestic workers and gave them the opportunity to learn English and domestic duties prior to passing into positions.
