An independent review of the Board's work in 1990 and Programme for Action approved in 1992 replaced the various committees and councils (at M629/1/19) with 3 operating areas community life, industrial and economic life and social and urban policy and records were organised to reflect this. 'Towards a better way of working' merged the Board with the Board for Mission and Unity as a new Board for Church and Society at the end of this period.
