The Diocesan Shelter moved to Withington in 1957. By 1972 it was necessary to adapt its use once more and in Jul 1973 it became St Agnes Assisted Community Home. In 1979 it was closed following a fire and did not re-open. The records relating to its earliest operation as a shelter for children are at M629/4/18. Accounts and Minutes of St Agnes Association later Childrens Moral Welfare Committee at M629/3/9.
