Notes on trust deeds 1752 and 1757 whereby Henry Mather of Tong with Haulgh conveyed six pews in Bolton Parish Church and three cottages at High Stile, Kearsley to trustees (including the vicar of Deane) to use the proceeds to educate poor orphans or children of poor parents in Kearsley, Bolton and Tonge with Haugh, at a school he had erected in Kearsley.
