Letters to G. Crossley, churchwarden, from the Charity Commissioners and the Poor Law Board, about the Poor's Money; includes accounts of how spent, Jan. 1725-Apr. 1731 (8); minutes of vestry meeting 11 Mar. 1875 (20); approving payment of £107 from the proceeds of the sale of the workhouse at Rainsough on 27 Jan. 1875, to be invested to provide shirts and shifts at Christmas for poor persons not receiving poor relief. The workhouse was built in 1819 on the site of cottages used by the Poor's Money for the reception of the poor; proposed augmentation of the Poor's Money by a further £43, 26 Feb. 1876 (22), Charity Commissioner's Order, appointing rector and churchwardens trustees, 29 Feb. 1876 (23, 24).
