Left to right: Mr. Hunt (he ran Hurst Farm in Ashton under Lyne), Robert Marsland, the groom, Mary Shaw, the bride, and Elizabeth Shaw (later Keating), the bride's sister. They married in 1914. Robert Marsland was a mule spinner and Mary was a printer at Mossley Press. On his marriage Robert had saved 25 gold sovereigns which he used to purchase the furniture for his home.
