Wedding group: The groom is Joseph Samuels, depositor's father's brother, and the bride is Jenny Pogrelsky. They married on 29 July, 1931 at the United Synagogue, Cheetham Hill Road, and held their reception at Broughton Assembly Rooms. Bridesmaid on right is depositor's sister June, who later married Nat Bowman, a war hero, serving as one of the original `path-finders' in R.A.F., awarded medals in World War II. He went to America as Sales Director of Aquascutum but died in 1967, of a brain tumour. A big memorial service was held for him at Wilbraham Road Synagogue. June remarried a man named Morgan in America.
