Harold Atkinson (born 1888), father of the donor's husband, also called Harold Atkinson. Harold (senior) worked on the railway and did a part time evening job working the spotlights at Hulme Hippodrome. Later he worked for the Regenerating Rubber Company at Trafford Park and later delivered cloth for Ashton Brothers. After seven years unemployment, he committed suicide.
