Members of the Margret Hilary Ridings Cycling Club. This was the works club, named after Margret Hilary Ridings, the daughter of the owner of Ridings Stores Ltd. There were 20-40 members of the club, coming from branches all over the north west. They rode on Sundays. Ridings was a small family firm with lots of social events for their employees, who were enthusiastic propagandists for cycling.
