Harold Atkinson, the donor's husband in 1914. He was born in 1910, the eldest of two sons and two daughters born to Harold Atkinson and his wife Mary Ann, nee Hesketh. The Atkinson family lived in Hulme. Harold Atkinson (senior) worked on the railway and did a part-time evening job working the spotlights at Hulme Hippodrome.
