Thumbnail for Worsthorne Village and Church, near Burnley. Tinted postcard. It is not stamped but addressed to Miss E. Tomlinson, 137 Roads Field, Rawtenstall, and reads: Dear Libby, Thanks for your p.c. I received it on Monday morning, you wanted to know where I had been putting myself last week I have not been very well this last fortnight so I have been staying at home. Baby is champion and fatter than ever, her Dadda and Charlotte came down to tea last Sunday he was pleased to see her getting on so well. Will you and Tom come down to tea on Sunday. I am going to write and invite Alice and Will, to come also, so I thought if you got your p.c. this morning you could arrange with them and then you could all come down together. I will come to meet you on the old road if it is fine, I will start from home about 3 o'clock. You must excuse this writing as I have a miserable pen, it is playing tricks with me all the while, I saw Alf and Jim last Sunday they said they were not going to have their Socials open to Ladies any more because we made such a row. I told them they could please themselves, we should enjoy ourselves somewhere else if it were not with them. Emma
