Wonders if the deputation will be premature next week as the reception which the Corporation has given to the local Bill, may cause its abandonment. Suggests they try and get the support of W.E. Gladstone, Sir J. Graham, Lord W. Molesworth, J.A. Roebuck and Lord Adderley. Lord Melgund and Lord Lansdowne would also be useful supporters.
