File contains a Memorandum of Agreement between Cecil Barnsley Thonger on behalf of the Refuge and Sir George Hammond Etherton on behalf of the Administrative County of Lancaster. This related to the agreement that the Remand Home would receive any young person, which is committed by any Court or Justice within the Administrative County of Lancaster for any period lawfully ordered. In return the Council will pay an agreed amount of thirty pounds per annum to the Refuge plus two shilling, six pence per day per child.
