Refuge Photographs

Book containing photographs which have been indexed. Contains photographs of individual admissions to the Refuge Homes. These photos contain the applicants name as well as their bank number. Other photographs that are included in this album show the Seaside Home in Lytham, the Boys Rest Home in Angel Meadow, the School Girls Home on George Street and a picture of the twelve boys who were emigrated to Mr D. L. Moody's Training Homes at Northfield, Massachusetts. These boys were selected from the orphan homes after D. L. Moody's visit to Manchester in 1883 and were sent to the Training Homes, with a view to their being prepared for ministerial or missionary work.
