Longsight-Sylhet Link group, a multidisciplinary team of people from Manchester who, from 13 Feb-27 Feb 2003, had organised a trip to Bangladesh. Whilst there, they visited the Ahmed Iqbal Memorial High School, set up by Fatima Begum (Ahmed’s Mother) in Sylhet. They consisted of health workers, clergy, community workers and teachers from the Diversity and Inclusion Team in Manchester (then EMAS). They visited hospitals, schools and the Ahmed Iqbal Memorial High School in Sylhet in order to gain a better undertanding of their local Bengali community, improve services and identify gaps in service delivery.
