Interview: 46 minutes 1 second
Paul Guest lives with his family in Urmston and was central to the early response to help Kosovo which developed in his community over Easter in April 1999. A paramedic, he and his brother, were on the convoy which left Manchester for the camps in Albania just 3 weeks after an aid appeal was launched. Paul decided to continue his involvement after the convoy returned and, over the next 16 years, has led many projects including the development of the Manchester Peace Park, the installation of IT suites in schools and leading teams of volunteer builders. At one point 7 members of his family were actively involved in MaK’s projects. Paul is a compassionate and emotional man. He works for a food bank.
In this interview Paul, a paramedic, talks about the humanitarian aid convoy to Albania and being involved in Manchester Aid to Kosovo for 16 years.
