Heroes : David Bowie and Berlin

Rüther, Tobias2014
Book
'Heroes' relates the story of David Bowie's time in Berlin from 1976-79, during which he made his 'Berlin Trilogy': the albums 'Low', 'Heroes' and 'Lodger'. It describes Bowie's friendships and collaborations with Iggy Pop, Brian Eno and Tony Visconti, and paints a vivid picture of his life in the Schöneberg area of Berlin. The book also offers a portrait of Berlin itself, a divided city at a turning point in history.
