The British-Asian population accounts for over 7.5% of the population of Britain, or over 5 million people. A number of books have been published on aspects of this culture, on music, sport and business, but no book has yet looked at this experience in its totality. This book will attempt to do this in an accessible way, by combining 15 feautre-pieces based on individuals who represent the various aspects of British-Asian culture, ranging in age from oldest to youngest, and culminating with a piece on a new-born child of a British Asian mother and an English father, in this case the child of the author.
