Lesley Manville stars in this period drama based on the novel by Paul Gallico. Set in 1950s London, Mrs Harris (Manville) earns money by cleaning the houses of the capital's rich and famous and yearns to spend a day in their shoes. When she receives a lump sum back payment of her widow's pension following her husband's death in the war, she embarks on a trip to Paris to live out her dream of wearing a custom-made Dior gown. The cast also includes Isabelle Huppert, Jason Isaacs and Rose Williams.
