In 'The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg' it is man's greed that leads him to kill the goose that gave him his wealth. In the Jataka fable of 'The Tortoise and the Geese' Tortoise never stops talking. When his friends, the Goose Brothers, leave to fly South Tortoise wants to join them but to do so he must keep his mouth shut.
