This collection comprises of a selection of project papers (GB3228.107/1) which include copies of permission letters to undertake research in the Democratic Republic of Congo, travel papers for the 2021 trip, a visitors leaflet for the National Museum of the Democratic Republic of Congo and a copy of the Manchester Cultural Awards finalist certificate. GB3228.107/2 includes research material gathered from Congolese institutions including academic journal and museum catalogue extracts, images of Congolese instruments and music samples showcasing Congolese traditions. The final section of the catalogue (GB3228.107/3) contains the project outputs including 5 oral histories, a selection of photographs taken during the project of her research trip in the Congo (Kinshasa), workshops and showcases and a copy of Emmanuela’s original EP produced as part of the project.
