Ancoats Wesleyan Methodist Church, Great Ancoats Street, opened in 1826. It was part of Manchester 3rd Wesleyan Methodist (Grosvenor Street) Circuit, but transferred to Manchester and Salford Mission in the 1893 and became known as Wesley Hall. It closed in 1963 and joined with New Islington ex-Primitive Methodist society, already united with Ancoats Victoria Hall society, to form Ancoats Trinity Methodist Church.
