A blue silk banner with red tassles round three of the edges. It is decorated with oil paints on each side. On one side is a laurel wreath tied with a pink ribbon at the base and with a gold crown above. Inside the wreath are the words 'Presented to Joseph Ridgway. Esquire. Wallsuches. By the workmen employed at that establishment as a token of their good will and sincere regard, on attaining his majority. July, 17, 1841' in gold lettering. On the reverse is a coat of arms. The arms are split vertically in half. On the left hand side is a pair of wings on a black background. On the right hand side are three stag's heads on a cream background, although this may not be the original colours, sections of red paint can be seen through this. Above the arms is a knight's helmet and a kneeling laden camel. At the base of the arms is the motto 'Mihi Gravato Deus'.
