Thinks there should be an explicit statement of what is meant by 'secular education' and that a model school should be set up to show the benefits of it. Political Economy, Physiology and Anatomy should be taught, under different names if this will reduce prejudice against them, because only practical education is of any real benefit. '... the grand secret of efficient education is to bring the young mind into direct communication with the objects and agencies of the world.'
