Aba Graham has lived in Stockport about 27/28 years, she has had a core role in supporting people in the community. She decided to go to university as a mature student. When reminiscing at her time living in the community, she describes Stockport as a place which ‘changed her life’. Started working with the local authority doing community development work, she also went to take a manager position in the prisons. She advocated for the voiceless in order to achieve equality. She originates from Sierra Leone but started school in Manchester when she was eleven years old. Her parents then returned to Sierra Leone whilst Aba remained in Britain for educational purposes.
