Special Collections: Broadside Ballads

Acquired before 1879 this collection includes 2000 broadsides mounted in 13 volumes. Two of the volumes consist of black-letter ballads, mostly from the 17th century, the other 11 contain mainly 19th century items. They include many printed in the provinces, particularly Manchester.
