Special Collections: (Samuel Taylor) Coleridge Collection

Collected by John Albert Green of Moss Side Library and purchased by Central Library in 1931 the collection contains books, pamphlets, magazine articles and lantern slides. 175 items are pre 1851 and include first editions of many of Coleridge's works in addition to more than fifty editions of Lyrical Ballads, though not the first of 1798. The collection also contains anthologies which include works by Coleridge, critical works and more than 60 biographies.
