Original recordings of classical music performances. Thomas Pitfield (1903-1999) was born in Bolton. He studied music and later taught composition at the Royal Manchester College of Music, which became the Royal Northern College of Music. During the Second World War he was a Conscientious Objector. He continued to compose music into his nineties. He died in Bowdon, Cheshire.
