Founded in 1790 by William Galloway. By 1835, William's two sons ran the business which was called W & J Galloway. At this time the business was especially associated with boilers. In 1856 the business was named W & J Galloway & Sons. In 1889 it became a private company and in 1899, a limited liabilty company.
