Custodial history:
St Clement's was built by public subscription on land given by G L Ridehalgh. The foundation stone was laid on 16 March 1867 and the church consecrated on 4 January 1868. It was assigned the township of Urmston as a District from the parish of Flixton by Order in Council 28 March 1868 (London Gazette 31 March)
