Custodial history:
This archives represent the papers of Miss Helen Fielden (1859-1950). The executor of the estate was William Stansfield Royle who was the great nephew of Helen Fielden. The inclusion of the Harper family is incidental due to the purchase of land in Flixton possibly by William Fielden, Helen Fielden's father (1805-78), who was described as a proprietor of houses on the birth certificate of one of Helen Fielden's sisters, Elizabeth (1857-1938). The papers are all concerned with land in Flixton
